As Chief Compliance Officer and Director of Business Operations of BentOak Capital, Stefan heads up the team’s compliance program, manages day-to-day business processes, and contributes to the strategic direction of the firm.
Stefan believes a strong, well-defined culture of compliance alongside scalable workflows and developed processes directly correlates with the firm’s ability to become more efficient and grow.
Stefan graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas Tech University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the Rawls College of Business. Upon graduation, Stefan started developing his skillset in the financial services industry by joining a community bank in 2012. After four years of banking operations and compliance, Stefan joined the BentOak Capital team in 2016 where he continued to master his craft and further develop the firm’s compliance program.
Stefan holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designation as well as a Texas Life and Health Insurance license.
In the community, Stefan serves as the treasurer for the Weatherford Noon Lions Club and is a Board Member of the Weatherford ISD Education Foundation. Stefan is proud to be an active team member of a firm whose values are deeply rooted in supporting local businesses and giving back to the community.
Outside of the office, Stefan enjoys sports, spending time outdoors, and putting in quality time at the gym. Stefan is married to Cathy and they have two children: son, Landon and daughter, Charlotte.
Stefan enjoys time with his wife (Cathy), his son (Landon), his daughter (Charlotte) and his 2 Jack Russell terriers.
Uncle Julio’s is Stefan’s favorite restaurant. He also enjoys Italian food and a good old fashioned cheeseburger.

Most don’t know that Stefan can clap with just one hand. Though it’s an odd talent, it’s a hit with the kids.
