As financial planning professionals, our primary role at BentOak Capital is to help our clients create and track progress towards their personal and family goals. As a business, we internally create and track progress towards our own goals. One way we organize those goals is by having an annual theme. At the end of last year, we decided that our theme for 2022 is going to be Planning with Purpose. This year we decided to open the doors and make our theme public. Planning with Purpose is going to be a significant part of how we connect with you this year, so we want to give you a sneak peek into what that might look like.
Looking Back…
We are so incredibly grateful to our clients and the communities we serve for the significant growth of BentOak Capital in 2021. As we reflect on where we have been and where we are now, we have a record number of clients and assets under advisement. We are appreciative and humbled at the trust you have put in our team.
Across our three offices – Weatherford, Fort Worth, and Lubbock – we now have 14 team members. In the last six months, three extraordinarily talented people joined our team.
Our newest wealth advisor is Michael Cochran, working in our Fort Worth office. Michael has approximately 15 years of experience at financial advisory firms both large and small, and we are proud he decided to join BentOak Capital in December.
Our very newest team member, Calynn Mullins, started with us on January 11th. Calynn has been both a financial advisor and a small business owner. She joins us as BentOak Capital’s Marketing & Communications Director.
We are also proud to welcome Laura Werner, our 2022 intern. We are excited to have her on board and expect great things from her in the future. Laura is a senior at Texas Tech and will work directly with Keith and AJ in our Lubbock office.
…And Looking Ahead
In keeping with our theme, we want to give you an idea of what our communications with clients will be like in 2022. Every month, you can expect a webinar, blog posts, and educational videos that can aid us all on our path to Planning with Purpose. When you visit with us this year to review your investment portfolio and financial plan, we will touch on many of the topics communicated throughout the year in more detail and how it relates to your personal situation.
In the first half of the year, we’re going to talk about some of the resources you have access to as a BentOak Capital client. We’re going to let you know about ways that we can work proactively with your CPA and other professional advisors to better serve you. We will discuss how you can better organize your financial life using our financial planning portal. And, we’re going to revisit one of our most popular webinars of 2021 – The Legacy Letter.
Later in the year, we’re going to provide more insight about the internal processes we use with our clients: how we invest your money and how we help you plan for the future. We’ll finish out 2022 with conversations about best practices for year-end planning and setting goals for the future.
Whether we are visiting in person, through Zoom, or on the phone, we want to help connect the dots between your day-to-day life, your financial plan, and your investments. Our 2022 Planning with Purpose theme & campaigns have been carefully designed to help us arrive at this realization together.
Planning with Purpose
We challenge ourselves as a team to be impactful to others and our communities, and we hope that our annual theme can inspire you to look back with gratitude as well as look forward with optimism. We believe that 2022 is going to be our best year ever. Happy new year to you and your loved ones!
